Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program are banking on strong quarterback play in 2024, placing considerable pressure on starting quarterback Cade Klubnik.

However, Klubnik has dedicated himself to improvement during the offseason, drawing praise from Swinney during a recent appearance on ACC Network's ACC PM show.

"He had a heck of a spring," Swinney remarked. "He’s very accurate, we had a lot of great plays down the field this spring. I thought he developed a lot of chemistry with our core and I’m talking about tight ends, receivers, backs. Just complete command of what we’re doing offensively."

Swinney highlighted Klubnik's growth since his debut season, acknowledging areas for improvement such as reducing turnovers and sacks.

However, Swinney emphasized that football is a team sport, and Klubnik's success hinges on the performance of those around him.

“I think when we get everything around him, it’s going to be a heck of a year for him. I think he’s just going to keep getting better and better.”
