Cade Klubnik Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Preseason Watch List

In an exciting development for Clemson Football, quarterback Cade Klubnik has been selected for the prestigious Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award preseason watchlist. This coveted award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I college football who hails from Texas, attended high school in Texas, or plays at a Texas junior college or university.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is named after the legendary Earl Campbell, affectionately known as the Tyler Rose. Campbell, a Texas Longhorns standout, showcased his incredible talent both in college and during his successful NFL career with the Houston Oilers and the New Orleans Saints. With illustrious memberships in both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Campbell's legacy is etched in football history.

The Tyler (Texas) Chamber of Commerce established this esteemed award in 2023, with the inaugural recipient being Baylor's Bryce Petty. Notable past winners include Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, as well as Ohio State's JK Dobbins. The reigning champion is Max Duggan from TCU, further highlighting the caliber of talent recognized by this award.

Joining a select group of seventy players on the 2023 watchlist, Klubnik's inclusion solidifies his status as one of college football's rising stars. Additionally, his fellow Atlantic Coast Conference representatives on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose watchlist are Ryan O'Keefe from Boston College and Bradley Rozner from North Carolina State.

It's worth noting that Klubnik's talent has also been acknowledged by his inclusion in the Davey O'Brien preseason watchlist.
